Hey everyone! I’m hard at work on Chapter 5 of ‘Hominids’. In the meantime, I wanted to share this spotlight by a young blog and recent Hominerd, Sean Guynes. I met Sean at VikingCon last weekend. This was the first year of the con, so it was a fairly small show. Although there wasn’t a huge crowd, I was able to meet people in a more intimate setting. Sean was actually working the show as a coordinator but was able to check out the exhibit floor during downtime. It was great talking to him and I really enjoyed reading his review. Check it out at the link below and let Sean know what you think.

This is my set up at Viking Con, happening as we speak.

Some sketches I did a little while ago of Liono and Panthro. I really wanted Liono to feel more cat like then in the original cartoons.
Here is a He-Man painting I did a while back. I wanting to use the crazy proportion from the classic ’80s action figures. This was a really fun piece.
Well fellow Hominerds, that wraps up another chapter in the “Hominids” saga! Things are looking bleak for our heroes. So much has happened and there is still so much yet to come. I’m anxious to get going on Chapter 5!
I’m going to take about a month break to get ahead on the next chapter, but will be posting concept art and updates about Chapter 5 regularly.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the story so far. This is just the beginning!
Next week will be the last page of Chapter 4! It’s hard to believe I’m this far along. You think and dream about these scenes for so long and then suddenly they’re there on paper. It allowing you to move on and finally think about something else. It’s such a liberating feeling.
Icari’s reunion with his father was a big moment for him. Even though he’s misleading his father, he is still standing up to him. You don’t have to know very much to realize their past relationship was a rocky one. For the first time, he looks upon Icari with respect, even if he was willing to kill him only a page before.
I’m really excited about where the story goes from here, but I’ll have more on that next week.
Answer:
Thanks! I think it’d be an incredible book. Superman as Big Brother! Bruce Wayne as O’Brian. It’d be awesome!
